Moab Trip

It all began with Brian and Amanda joining me in Provo and on to Goblin Valley State Park on Thursday, June 12. We met up with Brad and Laree's family.

Then around the corner to Wildhorse Canyon.
We made it to the Tierra Del Sol Townhomes outside of Moab where we stayed with Ryan and Shandee Lott. Brad and Laree stayed next door and Trent and Mylissa Rogers two down.

Friday found us at Arches National Park hiking where Marlan and Carla joined all of us.

We made it to Delicate Arch, which was a big thing in the middle of the afternoon. The shade on the left side was one of the most popular spots to be in as it was the only shade on the entire hike, except for a small rock a mile or so down the trail.

Saturday found seven of us in the Fiery Furnace, which requires a permit to hike. You watch a six minute video to get the permit, pay $4 a person, and promise to walk on the bare rock or sandy washes. I have to say it is one of the best hikes I've ever done, and I highly recommend it. Each slot canyon had something new in it. We did get a little lost at the end, but finally found our way out.

The swimming pool back at the townhomes was a great way to end the day!
